What Are Our Priorities?

As southern California burns and thousands of families are losing their homes, along comes President Bush asking Congress to ante up $42 billion more for the senseless and tragic war in Iraq. It is time for the Congress to just say, “No!”

It is time for Democrats to recall why the country gave them majorities in Congress in 2006 and for Republicans to stop being lap dogs for an out-of-control and irresponsible administration.

Senators and representatives of both parties need to vote for the good of the country. We have plenty of things to spend these billions on right here, such as increasing veterans’ benefits, improving job training and educational opportunities, repairing public infrastructure, and initiating greater health care coverage – and yes, providing assistance to the victims of the California fires.

Do you think we would be doing al the above with John Edwards as President? I sure do…..

Are you dumb enough to vote for  her?  Are you foolish enough to forget her suspect business dealings, To forget the countless friends and business associates who are or have been in prison? Are your ignorant enough to believe anything she has said? Blind enough to ignore the number of times she has changed positions or blatantly pandered to various groups?

Are you dumb enough to trust the future of this country and your family to her? I pray the answer to that question is no. One has to wonder about the intelligence of voters who actually trust this woman and would vote for her over all the other fine candidates out there? Time to wake up folks…..fact is, if you dislike G.W. you are going to absolutely loathe the prospect of  Hillary as President. You think it can’t get worse…….you will be surprised when it does.

Democrats……pay attention. This woman is everything you rave against. She is the status quo…..she is corporate America, politics as usual, the past. She is wrong for the party and wrong for America. Don’t make the same mistake the GOP made in 2000 by nominating the wrong candidate……..America……she is wrong for us all….lets not repeat the mistakes of the past…… John Edwards provides a real choice. Leadership, vision and ethics versus the corrupt status quo. What’s it gonna be?

Heading For Home

Folks……we are headed for home. The Caucuses and primaries are literally right around the corner. The MSM is doing all it can to ensure the nomination of Hillary Clinton. They fear John Edwards…..big business fears John Edwards, the political establishment fears John Edwards. They want and need the status quo to protect their interests. We cannot allow that to happen. We have got to get out and spread the message of this campaign. Its a message of change and hope. Each of us needs to do something to ensure that John Edwards is nominated as the Democratic candidate. That may mean a donation, making calls, handing out flyers, writing letters to the editor, whatever it takes. The man needs and deserves our support. If you have never been involved in a political campaign, this is the time. It really is now or never.

If you ever had an inkling or desire to do something to shape the direction this country is headed, now is the time. There is no more time to be apathetic. Your future, our future truly depends upon reversing the terrible course we have been set upon. This election should not be about ensuring the profits of major corporations, or protecting special interests or even the interests of other nations. It must be about our children, the poor, the homeless, health care, jobs, homeland security and the good people who live and die each day defending us. There is only one candidate who honestly cares about these issues and is committed to them, his name is John Edwards. I am asking you to join his campaign today and do whatever you can to see him elected President in 2008.
